Chennai: Hindustan Institute of Technology & Science (HITS), located in Padur, Chennai, and Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), UK, have solidified a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during a ceremony held at the HITS campus.The MoU, signed by Dr. Anand Jacob Verghese, Chancellor of HITS, and Professor Colin Bailey, President and Principal of QMUL, marks a significant milestone in fostering collaborative endeavors between the two institutions.This strategic partnership between HITS and QMUL encompasses a spectrum of initiatives aimed at enhancing academic exchange and research collaboration. These initiatives include joint research projects, faculty and research scholar exchanges, short-term study abroad programs, pathway programs, joint conferences, and academic internships.Dr. Anand Jacob Verghese, Chancellor of HITS, emphasized the pivotal role of international alliances with esteemed universities such as QMUL in enriching the educational experience for HITS students. He underscored the importance of global exposure to cutting-edge technology as an essential component of international collaborations.Professor Colin Bailey, President and Principal of QMUL, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration and highlighted the potential for cross-institutional expertise exchange.
